Maybe She's Born With It

Sarah Maple, Nicky Minus and Gina Wynbrandt

13 October – 27 November 2016

 Exhibition Opening Thu 13 Oct, 5 – 8pm

with set by the GIRL DJs from 5pm

Maybe She’s Born With It explores the charged wave of feminism currently pulsing through contemporary society. “Heir to Tracey Emin’s throne” Sarah Maple, “queen of seed” Nicky Minus, and the self-described “Carrie Bradshaw of comics” Gina Wynbrandt all capture the vitality of this movement, with their high-impact, humorous, and often controversial work demystifying and reclaiming the word “feminism” for new generations of both women and men. Maybe She’s Born With It fully embraces the current cultural climate, from tabloid headlines and the internet to selfies, body shame, Justin Bieber, and the Kardashians.

Late Night Art

The Naughton Gallery opens late on the first Thursday of every month, 5pm - 7pm. Visitors can see the latest exhibition, as well as access the Great Hall for some highlights from the Queen's Portrait Collection.

Queen's Collection goes digital!

The Naughton Gallery took part in the Your Paintings project carried out by the Public Catalogue Foundation in partnership with the BBC. An online record of the UK's national collection of oil paintings has been developed with the aim of making art in public collections more accessible. We will continue adding to this online gallery with the other paintings, sculptures and other artefacts in our collection.

The Naughton Gallery's oil paintings can now be viewed online at
